This page explains how to delete your SaveToFav account and the data associated with it. SaveToFav (savetofav.com and the SaveToFav apps for iOS, Android, and Chrome) is operated by VegasGeek, LLC.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app
- Open the SaveToFav app and sign in.
- Open Settings, then tap Delete Account.
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account.
Option 2: Request deletion on the web
If you no longer have the app installed or can’t sign in, you can request deletion without reinstalling it:
- Send a request through our contact form or email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account.”
- Send the request from, or include, the email address associated with your SaveToFav account so we can locate it.
- We may ask you to confirm the request from that email address to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
Your account and associated data are deleted promptly, typically right away, once deletion is requested (for web requests, once we have verified the request). We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted.
Before you delete
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want to keep a copy of your library, export it from your account on savetofav.com before deleting. SaveToFav is free, so there is no subscription to cancel.
What gets deleted
- Your account information (username, email address, and password hash).
- All of your saved items, including URLs, titles, thumbnails, notes, and tags.
- Your account settings and preferences, and any sign-in sessions or tokens.
What may be retained
- Residual copies in routine backups may persist for a limited period until they are overwritten.
- Limited records we are required to keep for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
- Aggregated statistics that do not identify you (for example, total counts of items saved).
